Lassonde Student Congress

Preamble

Hey Lassonde Students!

The Lassonde Student Congress is opening up appointments for students to serve the community for the remainder of the 2024/2025 term.

Election Timeline

All of these positions are elected positions. There will be two stages to the election:

1. Nomination Period (Jan 2 - Jan 10)

A candidate must collect signatures (amount in specific sections) from students in their respective program* using a copy of the nomination package and submit it by the end of the campaigning period to the application form.

2. House of Delegates Meeting (TBD)

A candidate is required to attend the January House of Delegates meeting. At the meeting, the candidate will give a speech to the House followed by a question period. The House will then vote on the preferred candidate and confirm the result at the same meeting.

Important Information

On the Subject of Secretary Nominations

Candidates for Secretary positions may collect signatures from ANY student from Lassonde (not program specific).

On the Subject of the Class Two Senator Appointments

The Senator position appointments are for Class Two, meaning that the term will run until May of 2026.
